Wow!! I think you might well call our dear eye doctor who is so good with diagnoses and knows our family (are we as odd visually as it seems sometimes?). He really might have some insights. Reading is an incredibly complex skill I think.

Wow. All I can think when I read these stories is that Mr. Pants is off the charts smart--which of course can lead to challenges.

There are some eye conditions that run in the family. Nana had a lazy eye (much weaker vision in one eye). I had eye surgery when I was five to correct a muscle issue. Two of ours had eye problems: D had Amblyopia and had to be patched for several years and P had nearsightedness and astigmatism at a very young age. A good pediatric ophthalmologist might be able to sort this out.
