This quarter's family project for Kindergarten: build a snowman without snow (since there's a good chance we'll never get any). A white styrofoam plate and a black plastic cup ("hat") were provided and we were supposed to use "stuff around the house" for the rest.
We used a pair of tights with useless elastic, an unmatched and too small sock, buttons, pipe cleaners, and old dry lentils and rice I don't like, plus some ribbon scraps. I did pick up waxed twine at the craft store since I was there anyway!

Why do these two snow people remind me SO much of Shmoogie and Mr. Pants!?

Don't you just LOVE buttons -- and old socks?!

Really cute. Did the teacher ask to have a set for herself? Love them.
